A timeless heirloom for conscious kitchens and festive traditions
The Bronze Urali is a classic South Indian cookware vessel, revered for its elegance, functionality, and deep cultural significance. Handcrafted in pure bronze, this large-sized Urali is perfect for festive feasts, ceremonial use, or as a stunning statement piece in your home.
Product Specifications:
- Inner Diameter: 14 inches
- Material: Pure bronze — an alloy of tin, copper, and zinc
- Craftsmanship: Handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional metalworking techniques
What Makes It Special:
- Versatile Use: Ideal for slow-cooking, making payasam, serving at festive occasions, or as a centerpiece during pujas and celebrations.
- Timeless Appeal: A blend of aesthetic beauty and spiritual resonance—perfect for gifting or decor.
- Each Piece is Unique: Slight variations in color and texture are natural due to handcrafting, and are to be celebrated, not considered flaws.
How to Identify Pure Bronze:
- Sound Test: Tap gently to hear a resonant, bell-like chime—similar to temple bells—which is a sign of authentic, high-quality Kansa/Bronze.
- Corrosion Resistant: Pure bronze does not tarnish like copper or brass, though it may naturally develop a patina over time if exposed to air and moisture.
Care Instructions:
- Clean using mild dishwashing liquid or tamarind pulp to retain shine.
- Dry thoroughly before storing to preserve the natural gleam.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to acidic foods or moisture.
The Large Bronze Urali is not just a cooking vessel — it is a celebration of heritage, a piece of art, and a reflection of mindful living.

Maintain the shine
Utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:
-
01
Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.
-
02
Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.
-
03
If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.
-
04
Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.
