Crafted for conscious dining

Rooted in Ayurvedic tradition and handcrafted with care, the Kansa Katori Set is designed to enhance your meals with both elegance and wellness. These bowls are ideal for serving curries, chutneys, desserts, and more — offering the benefits of pure bronze with every bite.

Set Includes:

  • Large Katori: 4 inches in diameter
  • Medium Katori: 3.3 inches in diameter
  • Small Katori: 3 inches in diameter

Why Choose Kansa Over Copper or Brass?

  • Non-Reactive: Unlike copper or brass, Kansa (bronze) does not react with acidic or salty foods like lemon or tamarind.
  • Safe for Daily Use: Kansa is ideal for serving a wide range of dishes, including sour or fermented foods.

Therapeutic Benefits of Kansa (as per Ayurveda Prakasha):

  • Promotes Digestive Health: Alkalizes and purifies food, supporting a healthy gut.
  • Stress-Relieving & Detoxifying: Recommended by Ayurvedic practitioners for its calming and purifying properties.
  • Antimicrobial & Hygienic: Naturally helps eliminate harmful microorganisms from food surfaces.
  • Enhances Mental Clarity: The Sanskrit phrase “Kansyam Buddhivardhakam” refers to Kansa’s ability to sharpen intellect and support immunity.

How to Identify Pure Kansa:

  • Sound Test: When tapped, pure Kansa produces a deep, resonant chime similar to temple bells — associated with spiritual vibrations.
  • Corrosion Resistant: Unlike copper or brass, Kansa does not tarnish easily and is low-maintenance.

Care Instructions:

  • Handcrafted pieces — handle with care.
  • Safe for eating and serving; not recommended for storing food.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with acidic or citrus-rich foods to prevent staining.
  • Clean using traditional methods with tamarind or a mild dishwashing liquid.
  • Dry thoroughly before storing to preserve the natural gleam.

The Kansa Katori Set is not just a dining essential — it’s a celebration of wellness, culture, and conscious living.

Elevate your everyday meals with the purity of Kansa — only from Green Heirloom.

Rooted in Ayurveda. Handcrafted for life.

The Ayurveda of Bronze

Why Indian families have eaten and cooked
in bronze for two thousand years.

Pure Kansa is referenced in Ayurveda Prakasha as "Kansyam Buddhivardhakam" — the metal that nourishes both body and mind. Whether you cook in it or eat from it, your meals do something different in bronze.

Handcrafted bronze Kansa plate set

"Crafted with care.
Rooted in Ayurveda.
Made to last."

01

Alkalizes food, gently

Bronze balances acidity — whether food is cooked in it or served on it, supporting digestion meal after meal.

02

Naturally antimicrobial

Pure bronze inhibits harmful microorganisms — no coatings, no chemicals.

03

Aids digestion & immunity

Recommended by Ayurvedic practitioners for its calming, grounding effect on the body.

04

Sharpens intellect

Ayurveda calls bronze Buddhivardhakam — the metal that nourishes clarity when used daily.

05

Built to last generations

Doesn't degrade or wear out. The piece you buy is the piece your children inherit.

Maintain the shine

Utensils can be cleaned just like your other utensils. For bringing back the shine, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • 01

Wash the utensil with only water to begin with.
  • 02

Apply some Pitambari powder and scrub on all parts of the wet vessel.
  • 03

If you don’t have Pitambari, use a mixture of 1 bowl of wheat flour (atta), 1 spoon of salt and 2-3 spoons of vinegar.
  • 04

Rinse off the Pitambari or your home-made paste with water and wipe off any excess moisture.

Our most loved pieces, chosen time and again.
